Thorough professional dental cleanings help to keep your child's teeth and gums healthy by removing accumulated plaque and tarter. These cleanings help to prevent tooth decay, dental cavities, and periodontal disease (gum disease).
We provide topical fluoride treatments designed to strengthen your child's tooth enamel, prevent tooth decay, and reverse early tooth decay to help your child avoid the development of dental cavities.
We recommend dental sealants for all of our patients who have permanent molars. Once your child's permanent molars begin to erupt, we'll recommend applying dental sealants to their chewing surfaces. These make the molars easier to clean and maintain while protecting their chewing surfaces from tooth decay and cavities.
We use state-of-the-art tools and technology to provide our patients with a comfortable, thorough, and accurate diagnostic experience. We use digital radiographs for a safer X-ray experience that helps us monitor your child's development while ensuring we address any potential issues early before they become more serious problems.
If your child does develop a cavity, we can easily treat it and prevent further decay with a tooth-colored filling.
As your child grows and develops, we'll evaluate their orthodontic health (i.e. the alignment of their teeth, jaws, and temporomandibular joints). If they show signs of issues, we might recommend interception orthodontics or another form of treatment to address the issues and prevent more serious problems from developing in the future.
If your child's oral health becomes compromised for any reason such as an injury or oral health problem, we can work to restore their oral health in addition to the form and function of their to help preserve their smile.

We recommend that children wear protective mouthguards during athletic activities. While simple stock mouthguards or boil-and-bite mouthguards will suffice for most children, some children (especially those with orthodontics) can benefit from a custom-designed mouthguard.
We provide child-friendly sedation methods in our office to ensure children have pleasant, calm, and stress-free experiences during more invasive or extensive treatments.
